Wasim Akram seething with anger over Pakistan batting flop

Ex- Pakistan skipper, Wasim Akram on Tuesday lashed out at the national side of its very poor batting show in the 3rd and last T20 international against Australia at Dubai Stadium here. Chasing a challenging 169-run target, Pakistan were all out for 74 for their biggest defeat in the history of the shortest version of the cricket.

“What saddens me is that nothing appears to have improved in Pakistan cricket. The team habit and motto are exactly the same it was ten years ago,” Wasim Akram said.

“10 years back also, we played in the same approach and we’re still doing it. After winning the Twenty20 series, the players just failed to appear to be determined or have the effort to win the last game and complete a clean sweep of the series which is the quality of a top side,” he said.

“No player seemed to be making an effort to win the next match. Look, if our batsmen can`t learn from their faults and play consistently, when will they going to do this. The batting was extremely frustrating.”
