Bollywood actor and IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner Shahrukh Khan is likely to face an entire life ban on entering the Wankhede ground after he supposedly misbehaved with security officers and cricket officials at the ground, officials mentioned.
The incident took place Wednesday evening after the IPL match between his side and Mumbai Indians. KKR won the match. SRK supposedly misbehaved with a security officer and pushed him. When Mumbai Cricket Association officials attempted to intervene, he is said to have abused them.
A case has been filed in Mumbai’s Marine Drive police station by MCA officials, who will make a decision on the ban Thursday. “He pushed the security officer and misbehaved with him. He also used nasty words with security officers at the ground. When we attempted to intervene, he yelled out expletives at us,” MCA Treasurer Ravi Sawant informed journalists Thursday evening.
Sawant says SRK, flanked by the security officers, went to the players’ dressing rooms to congratulate them. He then came down and began going towards the ground. “When the security staff informed him that he can’t do so, he abused the guard and his men manhandled the security staff,” he claimed.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Iqbal Shaikh also verified the incident and mentioned police were looking into the issue.
