Australia skipper Michael Clarke has said he’d love Shane Warne to come out of retirement and play Test cricket again, but doesn’t feel that would happen.
Michael Clarke feels that Warne would make a superb mentor for Nathan Lyon and they’d bowl well together as a partnership.
“Ever since Warnie retired, I’ve been telling him he’s still good enough (to play Test cricket). I think he’d be a great mentor for Nathan and the entire team and it would be great to have Warnie and Nathan bowling together,” News.com.au quoted Clarke, as saying to an Australian newspaper.
“I’m a fantastic buddy of Warnie’s and, as a friend, I’d love him to still be playing cricket for Australia. The Aussie people would want Shane Warne playing for the next Fifty years, but that’s not going to happen,” he added.
