The Pakistan Super League (PSL), the country’s upcoming Twenty20 event has been postponed. As per the PCB, the new schedule for the tournament will be announced later.
As per a PCB media release, “The concerns expressed by the stakeholders on tight timelines for submission of bids & leveraging of assets, hold merit.”
The media release more mentioned that 80 international players had signed for the PSL auction but the process of getting NOCs was still underway and would require time. Furthermore, scheduling issues which arose after the PSL dates were announced could result in potential big players not being able to participate.
The tournament was at first scheduled to take place from 26 March to 7 April.
