The PCB said Sunday they’d add pacemen Tanveer Ahmed and Rahat Ali to their team for the three-Test series in South Africa starts in a few days.
The PCB mentioned the squad, presently playing a four-day tour opener in East London before the 1st Test in Johannesburg, sent a request for the additional bowlers.
“After considering the conditions and duration of the tour in South Africa the Pakistan team management has requested the national selection committee to send two fast bowlers,” mentioned a PCB report, adding that they would reach South Africa before the start of the 1st Test on Friday.
Tanveer Ahmed, 34, played the last of his 4 Tests in the West Indies in 2011 and has also played 2 ODIs games, while 24-year-old left-armer Ali played one ODI in Sri Lanka last year before he was discarded.
Pakistan will also play 2 Twenty20s and 5 ODIs on the tour. A team for the limited overs matches will be announced later.
