PCB has objected to the using of Hot Spot ball tracking technology and also for the appointment of Australian umpire Steve Davis in the ongoing Test series in South Africa.
As per a report in the daily ‘Express’ newspaper on Sunday, PCB has written a letter to the ICC showing their objection to the use of the Hot Spot technology in the 1st Test against South Africa.
“The PCB wrote the letter to the ICC after the team management in South Africa requested the board to speak with the ICC over the use of the Hot Spot technology and the posting of Steve Davis in the series,” the report said. Davis was the next umpire in the 1st Test in Johannesburg and many of the referral judgements went against Pakistan.
The majority of the referrals was adjudged with the help of the Hot Spot technology which appeared to be inconclusive occasionally.
