Nawaz didn’t want me as presidential nominee: Javed Hashmi

PTI leader Javed Hashmi has said that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif had ignored him as presidential nominee against Asif Ali Zardari. Speaking with media flanked by Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Javed Hashmi disclosed that Zardari had asked PML-N leader khawaja Muhammad Asif to give a statement that his party wouldn’t admit PPP leader Amin Fahim as a nominee for PM.

“Zardari asked for Khuwaja Asif to help him get rid of Amin Fahim,” Javed Hashmi said. He said that all the political groups had assured him their support. Talking on the occasion, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the US Congress resolution on Balochistan was a trap against Pakistan and if govt didn’t take it critical it would be answerable for the results.

Qureshi claimed that today every Pakistani was worried regarding the defence of the country and people believed that security of the country was at the stake. “People feel that PTI will bring a change in Pakistan,” he added.
