Kevin Pietersen puts Australian Big Bash League talks on hold

England middle order batsman Kevin Pietersen put on hold an offer by Cricket Australia to play for the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash champions Sydney Sixers in an attempt to repair his relationship with the English team management still taking time.

Kevin Pietersen was overlooked from the English side of the T20 World Cup, despite being a Twenty20 player of repute after he fell out of favor with the ECB for sending suspect text messages to South African cricketers in which he criticized English skipper Andrew Strauss and coach Andy Flower. Kevin Pietersen was player of the tournament at the last edition of the ICC World T20 tournament held in West Indies in 2010.

If Pietersen is ignored for the tour of India during the Australian summer, Pietersen may likely end up playing in the Big Bash. As per reports, he may also miss the back-to-back Ashes series in England.
