Ex- Pakistani opening batsman Amir Sohail on Saturday said that the controversial IPL is ruining cricket and the fans are losing believe in cricket. Talking to media, he said that all the stakeholders, including ICC should work honestly to remove the spot fixing menace from cricket. He urged the ICC to play its part and strictly check the fixing in IPL.
The anti-corruption unit of ICC has failed to remove the corruption in running cricket league in India, the ex- cricketer said. Amir Sohail said that all popular cricketers from all over the world were taking part in IPL and their career could be effected by the continuous fixing scams. He said cricket lovers were losing faith by assuming that every ball in cricket matches had been already fixed, which may effect the cricket’s value in the world. Amir Sohail said the bookies should be handled and tight action should be taken against them.
Amir said the ICC should also its anti-corruption unit to task on its failure in stopping against the law actions in the IPL.
