Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will reportedly play the character of a ghost contesting elections in the upcoming movie Bhoothnath Returns. But the actor says he has no such plans in real life.
When asked that with the film having a political background, what is your take on politics and would you like to join politics, Big B replied in an email interview; “I am apolitical and and no, I shall not join politics.”
Mr. Bachchan, who had contested Lok Sabha elections from Allahabad in 1984 and registered a massive win, resigned after three years of his tenure as an MP.
After that, the 71-year-old has abstained from politics as he believes that he is not cut out for it.
Bhoothnath Returns is the sequel to 2008 film Bhoothnath. The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced jointly by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ravi Chopra and co-produced by Ajay kapoor. It also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Anurag Kashyap, Ranbir Kapoor among others.
