Fake iPhone 5 surfaces before official iPhone 5 Launch

So while Chinese iPhone knockoffs usually surface after the launch of the new version of the iPhone, it seems as if that just changed. NowhereElse.fr has just recently published photos of the Goophone i5, the iPhone fake, on their site.

The fake iPhone 5 features a familiar model as it’s very much the same as all of the leaks we’ve seen in the recent past. Such as, the backplate is metal with 2 small strips of glass on the top and bottom of the plate. The front of the device seems much like the latest iPhone 4S design, while the buttons look a little bit changed to look more like the alleged iPhone 5. The device doesn’t, however, feature a 4-inch screen as it still sports a 3.5?-inch screen.

The internals of the device are very disheartening. The phone runs on 512MB of RAM and a 1GHz MT6575 ARM Cortex 1GHz processor and supports 2 cameras: a 5-MP rear shooter and a 1.3-MP forward is facing the camera. These specifications are much lower in speed than the projected specifications of the iPhone 5.

We’re not completely confident that the unit is functional because there’re no photos of the device actually turned on.
