Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger hasn’t only crossed Rs. 174.95 cr in India, the movie is now the 2nd biggest grosser after 3 Idiots. Now, what everybody is looking for is whether this Kabir Khan directed film will set another record by crossing Rs 200 crs mark at the local Box Office in the 2nd week.
The film needs to earn Rs 25+ crs to surpass the 200 crores mark. The movie witnessed a huge dip on the 2nd Monday. If it goes at this pace, it will earn Rs 12 to 15 crs nett by the end of the week. So it will not be able to surpass Rs 200 crs mark in the week 2. Ek Tha Tiger, which opened to a great response at the local Box Office, received Rs 154.21 crore nett at collection centres in India in the nine-day-extended 1st week. Ek Tha Tiger kept the bells ringing at the ticket windows in the 2nd weekend and added Rs 21 crs to its 12 day total Rs 174.95. It should be recalled here that there’s a history for Salman Khan’s previous films.
Unlike Aamir Khan’s movies, Salman Khan’s films have had an earth-shattering response during the 1st week, but their business has fallen down by 75% to 80% in the 2nd week. Their collection has totally slowed down in the following weeks. His movies like Bodyguard, Dabangg and Ready have met exactly the same fate in the past.
