Australia’s opening batsman David Warner was allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with an England player Joe Root after his team’s match against England on Saturday evening, Cricket Australia confirmed this on today. Warner wouldn’t participate in their Wednesday’s match against New Zealand. It’s learnt that Cricket Australia is investigating this episode. He may be sent home from England as punishment.
The report more said that although the details of the episode are still sketchy but there’s a chance that Warner could be sent home, making his leadership ambitions a distant desire. David Warner has come into trouble with CA for the 2nd time in 14 days right after his expletive-laden rant on Twitter for which he was fined 5750 dollars last month.
As per the report, although CA authorities had claimed that David Warner didn’t drink towards the end of the recent IPL in India, IPL sources have claimed to understand Warner`s regular drinking, adding that he had flown 3 of his schoolmates to India during the Twenty20 event to keep him company.
