The major opposition PML-N has closed its door on the PTI and decided to hold discussions on the future caretaker set-up with Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam. PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan told journalists in his Parliament House chamber on yesterday that he had also sent the list of PML-N’s nominees for the office of caretaker pm to the JUI-F for discussion.
The JUI-F is the 2nd biggest opposition party in parliament after the PML-N but the 2 parties have been hugely different almost on all national points and have so far failed to take a combined position on any of them. The rivalry between the 2 sides reached its peak when ex- Senate chairman Farooq Naek named Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri as the leader of opposition despite PML-N’s declare that its parliamentary leader Ishaq Dar enjoyed the support of the majority of opposition senators. The 2 sides have always left individually from parliament even on common points.
Chaudhry Nisar said his party was wanting to hold discussion with the PTI again, but on the condition that its leader Imran Khan should 1st apologise for having wrongly denied that contacts between the 2 sides had taken place.
