Brett Lee to be KKR’ bowling mentor too

Kolkata Knight Riders announced today that Brett Lee their pace bowling spearhead will also take on an additional leadership job as bowling coach.

Saying this, Venky Mysore, CEO of KKR said, “We are fortunate that someone of the caliber of Brett Lee, who in addition to being a key member of the team, will also mentor the bowling unit.

While accepting this job, Brett Lee stated, “ The experience with KKR over the past 3 years has been fantastic. We have become a closely-knit unit under the leadership of skipper Gambhir and Head Coach Trevor Bayliss. As we get ready for IPL 2013 as the defending champions, I am honored to take on this additional responsibility”

Brett Lee, who joined KKR in 2011, will be filling in the job of bowling mentor after Wasim Akram mentioned private reasons behind his decision to end his association with KKR. Indian team’s fielding coach Trevor Penney will also be joining KKR as their fielding instructor.
