Australia slips to its lowest position in ICC ODI rankings

The Australian cricket side has slipped to the 4th place, its lowest in ICC ODI rankings since the ODI championship table was introduced in 2002. As per a report in the Indian Express, the fall is because Australia’s superb record of 30 wins and 8 defeats from 40 ODIs in 2009-10 doesn’t reflect in the newest annual update.

Their arch rivals, England (121), who top the ODI Championship table for the 1st occasion since it was introduced in 2002, lead by just one-sixth of a rating point from 2nd-placed South Africa. The champions of the 2011 World Cup, India are positioned at the 3rd place in the table.

England tops the ODI table for the first occasion since the inception of ICC rankings in 2002.
