Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi is likely to be recalled to the ODI team for the upcoming series against South Africa after a string of batting failures in the Test series.
Sources close to the national selection board mentioned that Afridi, who was dropped for the ODI series in India after playing in just 2 T20 games, would be selected for the entire limited over series in South Africa.
“Pakistan plays the T20 matches 1st and then 5 ODIs. Afridi is likely to be selected in both teams,” a source disclosed.
Afridi, who’s played 349 ODIs, has recently shown some great form in the Pakistan A series with Afghanistan. The source mentioned that the national selectors would be making lots of changes for the limited over series after the test squad’s failure in South Africa.
