The iPhone 6 might feature additional sensors than its predecessors. News chief expert at ESM-China says that “sources close to the matter” are claiming iPhone 6 will feature temperature, pressure and humidity sensors.
Several of Apple’s recent hires come from the health sector, though rumors on that front mainly concentrates on the rumored smart watch’s features. This new rumor hints that the health-related developments may be making their way to the iPhone as well. A “Healthbook” app is among the most seriously said additions for is 8.
Samsung’s own Galaxy S4 was also built along with numerous of these same sensors, mainly to enhance its own S Health app. The iPhone 5s on the other hand contained a new “Motion coprocessor” in the form of the M7. Temperature, pressure and humidity sensors would put the iPhone on par or even exceed its closest competitor in the sensor area.
While this is of course an unconfirmed rumor, its addition in iPhone 6 wouldn’t exactly be a shock either.
