The latest rumor surfaced online claiming that the next Apple Smartphones will feature solar panel technology for powering the devices. Apple is already using in-cell concept in iPhone 5 named as “integrated touch”.
But the company desires to explore the technology more to utilize solar rays to power the devices when it ran out of battery. As per PatentlyApple, “Apple is focusing on this same principle except this time around it’s for integrating special solar panel technology right into future touch displays.”
A report stated that Apple will be utilizing a material called grapheme, which is widely used in using solar energy. Another reason why the future iPhones are more dynamic than its predecessors is due to the upgraded processor that it’ll include in its specs. Rumor has it that the next generation of iPhone will include an A7 quad core chipset.
However, Apple is speculated to release the 2 devices in August of this year and early next year. As per AppleInsider, Chinese company Foxconn, the manufacturer behind the majority of Apple’s products, will exclusively develop the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S. Apple is anticipated to include a better camera in the iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 5S which is stated to be able to take “Super HD” photos. In order to take photos at that resolution it’ll need to have around a 13 mega-pixel camera.
