Galaxy Note 3 to use premium metal build, ditching plastic

SamsungSamsung might be the world’s number 1 Smartphone maker but many, including Know Your Mobile, have criticized the company’s using cheap-looking plastics on its million-selling, high-price top Smartphones.

Samsung has apparently taken says criticism to heart, and is looking to try out newer, highest quality build materials aboard its next Galaxy Note 3 device.

‘Samsung is planning to switch build quality for the next flagship device. He [the source] pointed out that the Galaxy Note 3 would not use the design guidelines of the Galaxy S4,’ reports Sam Mobile. What’s unsure, at present, is what Samsung uses in place of its beloved plastic.

Brushed metal always seems nicely flash, but could be overweight in this context. Aluminum is a possibility but getting the finish right is vital. A more premium-grade plastic remains a possibility and then there are always ceramics.
