The most recent rumor for the cheaper iPhone, which itself has been a rumor for a few months now, shines a light on the possibility of the device having a 4-inch display and a plastic case that’s available in an assortment of colors.
As per KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is likely to deliver a less expensive iPhone with the same display size as the present iPhone 5, which is a 4-inch display. Moreover, the iPhone’s case will be a “super-thin plastic casing mixed with glass fiber.” How super thin? Kuo feels it’ll measure between 0.4 and 0.6 mm. Kuo also feels multiple colors will be designed for a budget iPhone with Apple likely to offer anywhere between 4 and 6 color options, which of course includes the iPhone’s present white and black colors.
Considering how long Apple has been giving multiple colors for its iPod brand of products, we’re unsure why the company has yet to offer something for its iPhone brand.
