Apple manufacturers will start producing larger designs of the iPhone 6 in China next month, Bloomberg reported citing sources. Apple is ramping up manufacturing of iPhones with 4.7 and 5.5-inch display sizes, which may be delivered to retailers around September, the report claimed.
Apple releases brand new models of the smartphone line that drives half its business around the fall of every year. The industry has thought for some time now that Apple plans to design and sell a device with a larger screen, to fend off Samsung phones with much larger screens that have proven famous in Asia and elsewhere.
Hon Hai Precision Industry will hire over 100,000 people in mainland China to develop Apple iPhone 6, Taiwan’s Economic Daily News claimed on Monday, in what the report called the company’s biggest single hiring spree in China. Apple was not instantly available for opinion outside regular U.S. business hours.
