Apple iPhone 6 could be inspired by iPhone 5c and iPod Nano

Apple is highly expected to release iPhone 6 with a larger display to take on Android based smartphones that usually come with larger displays. Macotakara now reports that the layout of the bigger iPhone will be influenced by iPhone 5c and iPad nano. iPhone 6 could come with curved edges and pill shaped volume buttons like the iPhone 5c.

However, unlike the iPhone 5c, which arrives in a plastic cover, the larger iPhone 6 could sport a sleek anodized aluminum structure like the iPod nano. Macotakara also says that as per their sources, Apple will release iPhone 6 with 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch screens. Last year, Reuters had claimed that Apple was talking to suppliers about 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch iPhones for this season.

The report says that the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will measure at 14×7 cm, while the 5.7-inch iPhone 6 will measure at 16×8 cm. The report also says that both the designs will be 7mm thick, which would indicate that the rear camera will be protruding out like the 5th generation iPod touch. But the report says that Apple could improve the width to 7.5mm to match the width of the camera module when it finalizes the structure.
