Apple company is intending to increase its data centre system and has poached a number one Microsoft expert to assist it complete this target, according to news. The Data Center Knowledge web site, Kevin Timmons, formerly Microsoft’s GM of Data center Services, will take up a management job at Apple in the forthcoming days.
Microsoft has verified Timmons’ leaving from the firm, announcing he “has chosen to pursue different job options and is no more operating at Microsoft”.MS didn’t particularly point out what these “profession opportunities” entailed. But Dave Ohara, who’s previously worked in data centres at Apple company and Microsoft, mentioned that Timmons was planning to move to Microsof company.
However, Ohara mentioned that Timmons wasn’t planning to substitute the late Oliver Sanche, who was Apple’s leading data centre expert, but died unexpectedly a year ago.Though it is not clear what spot Timmons will take at Apple if the reports are right, rumours about Apple’s cloud computing programs is presently in complete swing. A week ago Macworld claimed that Apple company had purchased up 12 petabytes of storage from Isilon Systems.
