Apple verified Wednesday its most recent iOS 5 cellular operating-system was creating a battery issue defined by iPhone 4S clients and that a fix was coming.

“A few clients have claimed lower than expected life of the battery on iOS 5 devices,” Apple says in a report published on technology news website AllThingsD. “We are finding several bugs that are disturbing life of the battery and we will launch a software up-date to tackle those in a couple of weeks.”

Issues about the life of the battery of Apple’s most recent iPhone 4S mobile phone have been piling up on the Internet currently. On Apple’s official assistance forums, several iPhone 4S lovers says their handsets’ battery power drained over 10 % every hour, even when in stand by mode with several advanced functions like Siri and location services totally deactivated.

Previous Friday, Uk newspaper the Guardian initial described that Apple technicians had approached several iPhone 4S owners and set up a diagnosis file on their units to send more information back to the firm’s head office in Cupertino, California.

On Wednesday, Apple seeded a beta edition of iOS 5 on its designer website, solving a handful of bugs for the first occasion since the system was launched on Oct. 12.

As per technology news website Apple Insider, the latest version contains upgrades and improvements including solutions for bugs affecting life of the battery.
