Japanese Mac blog Macotakara has posted a picture which it says is of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6’s battery. The leaked picture discloses the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 could come with a big 2,915 mAh battery. The battery in the picture has the part number an Apple part number of 616-0675 and that it runs at 4.35 volts. It is however tough to verify the credibility of the battery, but as MacRumors indicates it does have the markings that are similar to Apple batteries, and also seems to be big enough to fit a 5.5-inch iPhone.
A 2,915 mAH battery would be very much bigger than the iPhone 5s, which comes with a 1,570 mAh battery and the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is also rumored to come with a 1810 mAh or 2100 mAh battery. It does seem sensible when you consider that the larger iPhone 6 model will arrive along with a 5.5-inch display. It would still be smaller sized than the 5.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which arrives along with a 3200 mAh battery, and 5.5-inch LG G3, which arrives with a 3000 mAh battery. But with Apple’s tight software-hardware combination, and iOS 8 just around the corner, the iPhone 6 should be enhanced to be as power efficient as achievable.
A recent study identified that improved life of the battery is the number-one include that prospective customers of the iPhone 6 are hoping for. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 6 at a special event on Sept . 9th. On the other hand, it has been claimed that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 version may not release until later than October or 2015 due to supply restrictions and other production issues.
