Tehreek-i-Insaaf rejects 20th Amendment, calls for APC

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf chairman Imran Khan has warned of a civil war if the upcoming elections aren’t conducted in a clean and honest process. Rejecting the passage of 20th Amendment, he sought an all-party meeting to form an unbiased and independent election commission and a honest caretaker set-up.He was talking at a media conference at his residence here on yesterday.

Ex- PML-Q federal minister Naurez Shakoor, Ex- MPA Sheikh Muhammad Chohan, Maha Tareen and Raja Munawwar (Chakwal) and other people joined the PTI on the occasion. He claimed that both the PPP and the PML-N had reach an agreement on the amendment to protect each other’s benefits and not of the people. Tehreek-i-Insaaf wouldn’t allow anybody to steer the state at one’s sweet will, he informed. He regretted that the PML-N that until now had been waging a ‘Go Zardari Go’ move again came close to the PPP to get the amendment through.

Imran demanded that an all-party meeting be organised to institute a trustworthy and honest election commission suitable to all and not only to the PPP and the PML-N.
