Talking to reporters from his plane after landing at the Allama Iqbal airport, Tahirul Qadri said that the passengers of the plane were demanding to be flown to Islamabad but the government was paying no heed to it. He said his airplane made 12 rounds over Islamabad before it was forced to move to Lahore. However, authorities said that the airplane did only 6 rounds over the airport.

As per passengers of the plane, when the plane was diverted towards Lahore, a few PAT workers on the flight started protesting and during the agitation, the flight got imbalanced. The staff and other passengers appealed the PAT workers to stay away from this kind of behavior as the plane can meet dangerous fate.
