Surgeons successfully operate on Malala, bullet removed

Surgeons have successfully removed the round which pierced Malala Yusufzai’s head and was then lodged in her shoulder. Dr. Mumtaz talking to Geo News mentioned that a surgical procedure was performed at 2:00 AM that continued until 5:00 AM.

Dr. Mumtaz revealed that Malala’s condition was expected to get better, however she was still unconscious. On the other hand measures to send Malala for treatment abroad have been completed. A medical panel comprising of senior neurosurgeons at the CMH is examining her condition.

The sources add that Malala has been issued visas in Dubai and Great Britain while her father’s passport has also been extended. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister, Mian Iftikhar while talking to Geo News revealed that Malala is out of a serious condition.

Malala was shot outside her school in Swat on yesterday and was later flown to the CMH where her condition was identified as serious.
