The Supreme Court yesterday instructed the Inter-Service Intelligence and Military Intelligence to complete a detailed report on target killings in Balochistan till March 7. However, the intelligence agencies needed more time to file the report.
A 3 member bench of the SC lead by Justice Shakir Ullah Jan took up the cases of Balochistan target killing, kidnapping for ransom and the overall weak law and order scenario in Balochistan and the killings of MPA Balochistan Mir Bakhtiar Domki’s wife and girl in Karachi for hearing. Attorney General (AG) on behalf of spy agencies asked for the court to conduct in-camera hearing on information about Balochistan issue in the court’s chamber because of sensitivity of the case.
The AGP added that both the spy agencies sought time for filling the report after March 5 because Balochistan scenario was quite alarming and complex. “Therefore, preparation process of report was being postponed,” he informed the court.
