Sheikh Rasheed escapes unhurt in firing assault

Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed narrowly escaped with his life in a firing attack in Islamabad on Thursday. Per details, Sheikh Rasheed was attacked by unknown gunmen close to Shakar-Paryan in Islamabad at around 10pm. The report said Sheikh Rashid fortunately escaped unhurt.

An FIR was to be launched within I-9 police station against unknown people, police sources said. Sheikh Rasheed said it was the 4th attack on him and he was saved by the bulletproof car which was given to him by the Punjab govt. He said he was thankful to the Punjab govt for the provision of safety.

PTI chief Imran Khan strongly condemned the attack on Sheikh Rasheed.
