The Supreme Court has refused the request of federal government for delaying the hearing of NRO review case on Monday.
The 3-member bench of the Apex court headed by Chief Justice iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard request submitted by Federal Government seeking more time in NRO review case.
The Supreme Court has refused government’s request and directed the Federal Counsel to follow the hearing due on October 13.
Chief Justice, during the proceedings, remarked that the government should revoke the notification to Kamal Azfar’s appointment as Advisor to the Pm.
Earlier, government submitted a request on Saturday of seeking more time in the NRO review case.
In the petition, Advocate on Record Raja Abdul Ghafoor maintained that the Federal Counsel Kamal Azfar had been appointed as Advisor to Pm and the federal government needed additional time get the services of a new lawyer in his place.
