PTI former vice-president to join PML-N

Ex- PPP law minister Iftikhar Gilani, belonging to Kohat. He began his political career in 1970 when he contested elections as an independent person from Kohat and, afterwards, he joined up with the PPP. He was made the federal law minister in the cabinet of Benazir Bhutto in 1988.

Iftikhar Gilani joined PML-N in 1993 and was elected an MNA after beating incumbent KPK governor Masood Kasur contesting polls the PPP ticket. He joined ANP during the end of Nawaz Sharif tenure. Afterwards, he joined the PML-Q. Quite just recently, in 2010, he joined the PTI.

Another PTI leader and ex- MPA Iftikhar-ud-Din Khatak also announced joining the PML-N in the same gathering. Nawaz Sharif welcomed the entry of both these politicians in the party and stated that they’re joining the PML-N would reinforce the party in the KPK.
