PPP is set to part ways with PML-N in Punjab and the federal Govt might again impose emergency in Punjab soon taking the appeal that the provincial Govt has been failed to recover law & order.According to sources charge sheet is being ready against the provincial Govt on the grounds that it has failed to deliver and its failure is evidenced from the fact that no cabinet meeting has been held in the province since long and decisions are being taken without taking the cabinet into confidence that is not acceptable for the PPP as it is being totally ignored in the affairs of the province despite partner in the coalition in the province.
Similarly the provincial government will also be held responsible for poor law & order situation that is further deteriorating day by day and the terrorist are now freely targeting the province. The Punjab government despite receiving intelligence reports regarding planned suicide attacks from the federal government failed to avert the attacks that led to loss of life and property. Moreover the PPP cabinet ministers in the provincial government are so ineffective that nobody hears their voice and they have no powers to run their ministries while blue eyed secretaries are enjoying all powers under the umbrella of the Chief Minister which has created anguish among the PPP cabinet members and parliamentarians as they find them in no position to oblige their workers and voters. The PPP members feel that they have to go ministers they are helpless to oblige their workers and it will be more convenient to go in to their constituencies as opposition members instead of power less ministers to face the voters.
Keeping in view the political situation the federal government as first step will part ways from the Punjab and the Mian Shahbaz Sharif will be asked to get of vote of confidence from the provincial assembly. Definitely he could not prove his majority in the House without support another political group i.e PPP or PML-Q. If the Chief Minister fails to get vote of confidence the federal government will have no option but to impose Governor rule in the province for initially a period of two months which would be later on extended upto six months. Efforts will be made during this period to reach on a patch up with PML-Q and form a new coalition government in the province.
There is likelihood that the PML-Q will be ready to join the coalition as it will also looking for power to get way in Punjab the next election thus it will not miss the bus.
