PML-N, PTI and JI may enter into election alliance

There’s likelihood that Jamat-e-Islami, PTI and PML-N create an alliance or make seat-adjustment in the coming general elections. Informed sources told that before the beginning of a national seminar arranged by JI, PTI’s Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Ameer JI Syed Munawar Hassan held one-to-one gathering for more than 2 hours during which Qureshi suggested for developing an alliance or making seat-adjustment and for this purpose he also proposed for convening an all parties conference in Karachi in the mid of June. Sources says that JI hasn’t yet decided to any such suggestion but proposed that there should be one point agenda i.e. how to rid the people of the current situation.

During the meeting, Chairman PML-N Raja Zafarual Haq had also held separate gathering with Syed Munawar Hassan and also talked about the chance of entering seat-adjustment. Political experts claim that both PTI and PML-N would attempt to get support from JI in order to make inroads in Sindh, specifically in cities. Sources revealed that various religious groups may also form a combined force in the shape of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal, adding, JI would attempt to play a vital part for making new alliance or making seat-adjustment in order to counter MQM in the general elections.
