Pervez Musharraf wanted to hang him says Nawaz Sharif

PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif has claimed that ex- army leader Pervez Musharraf planned to hang him, but he was coward. “He [Musharraf] sent me back to Saudi Arabia just after my flight landed in Pakistan. The ex- pm made these remarks while addressing a open public gathering at Daulatpur.

The PML-N leader says the world noticed that now Musharraf ran from Pakistan, whereas he (Nawaz) was in the state.  The then Pakistan Pm Sharif was overthrown in a bloodless army coup led by the then Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Musharraf in October 1999. In April 2000, Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to life incarceration on hijacking and terrorism allegations, and he went into exile in Saudi Arabia after being pardoned by army administrators in December.

Sharif, however, dramatically came back to Pakistan in late 2007 after 8 yrs of forced exile from the country.
