A detailed medical report about Pervez Musharraf’s heart issue was presented in Special Court constituted to try him for in high treason case. At the start of the hearing, a medical report was unsealed before the head of the bench, Justice Faisal Arab who said that the court will issue its verdict after examining the report.
The report said he needs angiography, but the ex- president isn’t willing for his treatment in Pakistan and desires his treatment abroad. The report suggested an instant court decision in this regard. Pervez Musharraf’s lawyer Anwar Mansoor and chief prosecutor Akram Shaikh contended before the bench in today’s hearing. Mansoor asked for the court to keep the report confidential whereas Akram Shaikh opposed it.
Both the lawyers were presented with copies of the medical report afterwards. A first medical report was submitted in the court recently, after which the court directed the formation of a medical board to figure out the former military chief’s heart issue.
