Pervez Musharraf’s lawyers demand trial venue changed after threat

Ex- President Pervez Musharraf’s Legal representatives shown a threatening letter today in the Special Court, saying it to be from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. A 3 member bench of Supreme Court had started again the course of hearing of high treason case against Former President.

The letter mentioned that Musharraf’s advocates Ahmed Raza Kasuri, Sharifuddin Pirzada and Anwar Mansoor should separate themselves from the case or they’d be killed. Anwar Mansoor, lawyer for Pervez Musharraf claimed that the court should be moved to a safe location. A petition has been registered in this regard as the ex- President is receiving life threats, he added.

Ahmad Raza Kasuri, lawyer for Pervez Musharraf argued that banned organization including Tehrik-e- Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had threatened Musharaff. Advocate Anwar Mansoor and Sharifuddin Pirzada should separate themselves from Pervez Musharrafs’ high treason case.
