Pakistan not sending military troops to any country: Prime Minister

PM Nawaz Sharif on today said that none of the country has asked for Pakistan to send its troops nor Pakistan will send its troops to any other country. Prime Minister said Pakistan has no aggressive designs but also could not give up on its defense and sovereignty.

The remarks came after the speculation that dignitaries from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain during their recent visit to Pakistan have asked for for soldiers for possible assistance to counter rebels in Syria. PM Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan is a peace loving country and believes in quiet coexistence with the neighboring countries.

However, he said Pakistan will never pull away from its sovereignty and dignity at any cost. Nawaz Sharif said only a stable and powerful Pakistan could ensure peace and balance in the region.
