Punjab Assembly’s Speaker Rana Mohammad Iqbal on Thursady has demanded the government to take an appropriate action against Governor Punjab Salman Taseer as he has breached the constitution by going to a overseas visit without informing the worried authorities.
Rana Mohammad Iqbal said while speaking to the newsmen during a photo exhibition in Lahore that he was waiting for Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s answer over his written letter in this respect.He added that the Punjab Assembly is also reviewing that resolution moved against the unconstitutional act of the governor.
Earlier, Punjab Assembly’s speaker had written a letter to PM Gilani, seeking an action against Punjab Governor Salman Taseer for violating the constitution.
