Opposition senators lambasted the govt over the most severe incident of terrorism in federal capital in which a group of gunmen murdered a judge and 12 other people in Islamabad district court. Pakistan People’s Party Senator Raza Rabbani asked for the resignation of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali after the incident.

“The district court remained at the mercy of terrorism for 45 minutes, what was the Quick Response Force of the interior minister doing,” Raza Rabbani said in his scathing comments at the floor of the upper house. Senator Hamza on the floor of the house said the Taliban should be defeated in war. He called the dialogue the weak point of the federal government.

Later, the opposition senators staged walkout from the house.
