Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz Leader Mian Nawaz Sharif has said on Tuesday that his party would fulfill all promises made for the success of Pakistan, if it comes into power again, adding that the dictatorial rule deprived the country from development.
Talking to media at Gojar Khan after condoling with Chaudhry Ijaz over the death of his mother, Nawaz deplored that the dictators ruled for ten years each but could not put the state on the path of progress. Martial laws and dictatorship damaged the state immensely, while the people’s mandate guides the nation to its cherished destiny, he asserted.
“Pakistan would have become an Asian power if his govt was not overthrown in 1999,” PML-N Quaid said. “Had my government stayed in power, there would not have been joblessness in the country”, he continued.
He claimed that his govt had the plan to construct motorway from Peshawar to Gawadar but his government was overthrown. Nawaz Sharif said only economic success will ensure strong defence of the country.Former premier said that sitting in the presidency or PM Secretariat is in no way a issue of development, adding that the true uplift took place during his premiership.
