Federal govt prepares complaint against Musharraf in treason case

The federal govt has reportedly prepared draft of a complaint against ex- president Pervez Musharraf for his trial for treason in a special court.

As per media, the complaint stretched over 9 pages holds the former military chief solely accountable for his decision to impose emergency and abrogate constitution in 2007.

Sources said the complaint would be sent to registrar of the special court set up by the federal govt to try Musharraf for high treason under Article 6 of the Constitution.

Besides the November 3, 2007 emergency, Musharraf’s actions to order new oath of judges under PCO and assuming powers to amend the constitution have also been included in the draft charge-sheet.
