Ex- law minister and PPP leader Babar Awan submitted an application to the Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on yesterday seeking constitution of a judicial commission to check a remark of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah announcing him (Babar Awan) liable to be murdered.
The applicant prayed the CJP to form the judicial commission to analyze the information and witnesses associated with the remark of Sanaullah and to demand and defend his (applicants) legal rights below Article 4 and 9 of the constitution. He explained court’s involvement in the issue was essential from yet another factor too as Sanaullah was also a portion of the judicial commission which names judges of the constitutional process of law.
He explained if anything goes wrong with his person, life, home or family members, Sanaullah should be held dependable. He explained he’dalso learnt that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s govt desired to detain him on a fake penalty or other sorts of pretext and then help an attack on his life either in prison, police station or a regional court.
The applicant mentioned the public statement by Sanaullah, for all sensible reasons and intents, amounted to moving of an extra-judicial murder sentence against him, especially keeping in see the styles of extra-judicial murders by the Punjab Police. Under the conditions, he explained, there’s imminent risk and damage to his life from Sanaullah and other people.
The applicant mentioned Sanaullah statements openly to be a really influential person, thus his open public remark terming him likely to be murdered can’t be taken smoothly.
