Ex- president Asif Ali Zardari on yesterday said he wished the talks along with Pakistan become successful. He said the PPP was part of the APC that backed talks with the Taliban to find a way for peace and stability in Pakistan and the region.
“The PPP is therefore not against the proposed talks with the militants and whished the process success,” Senator Farhatullah Babar quoted the ex- president as saying.
The ex- president Asif Ali Zardari said there may be a different point of view on how to hold discussions but it was vital that stakeholders backed a negotiated deal. He said it was especially vital for political forces to be on the same page for the sake of democracy.
