APML secretary General Dr. Amjad Malik has rejected that former president Pervez Musharraf is living abroad after his bail request was approved by the apex court.

“Musharraf is not going anywhere. He will remain in the country till the completion of legal proceedings,” Dr. Amjad Malik said. “We haven’t yet received a copy of the court decision.”

Pervez Musharraf can live like a free citizen after his release, he said. Dr. Amjad Malik remarked that Musharraf wanted to become part of democratic procedure and face courts.

He’s been granted bail in Benazir Bhutto, Akbar Bugti and judges’ detention cases, the APML leader said. “If we had to make a deal, we would have done that long ago,” he informed reporters.

To a query, he stated that the Govt was accepting the conditions of the IMF to get debts. He noted that IMF lending would lead to price hikes in the country.
