ANP restores alliance with Sindh government

The ANP has rejoined the Sindh govt after a joint gathering of the PPP Core Committee and ANP here on yesterday at the Chief Minister House. The meeting was attended by Agha Siraj Durrani, Muhammad Ayaz Soomro and Rashid Rabbani of PPP and Rana Gul Afridi, Ameer Nawab and Younis Buneri of ANP.

The ANP team on the PPP’s request, announced to rejoin the Govt of Sindh, an official handout from CM house said. It was opted that both members of ANP will sit on Treasury seats in Sindh Assembly while Ameer Nawab assumed his duties soon after meeting. On the occasion Agha Siraj Durrani congratulated ANP Committee on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

He mentioned that Chief Minister Sindh has welcomed the decision and termed it as a victory of democratic forces. He expected that ANP and PPP will work together in the larger interest of the country especially for the development and prosperity of the province.
