The ministry mentioned that Musharraf may be targeted by his own men the way slain Punjab governor Salman Taseer was gunned down by his security officer. The letter mentioned that a murder plan was also made to attack the Musharraf’s car while he left for court from hospital.

It is worthy to point out that Musharraf is due to appear before a special court in high treason case on March 11. Earlier, Musharraf’s legal representative also shown a threatening letter in special court, saying that it was delivered by TTP. The letter asked the lawyer team to separate themselves from the case or else they will be killed.

The legal representatives also mentioned that the previous army chief was also receiving life threats.
