Sony Ericsson is apparently getting all set to come to the market with its own mobile phone that would run under Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 7 operating system, and it appears that the first two such smartphones already leaked into the wild.
At least two new devices are probable to land on shelve from Sony Ericsson with the said OS on board, namely the Sony Ericsson Xperia X7 and Xperia X7 mini, which can be seen in the video embedded at the bottom of this article.
The video, which was spotted by the guys over at Pocketnow, does not show the devices themselves, but it does current some leaked documents with these Windows Phone 7 handsets from Sony Ericsson, and that should do pretty well for the time being.
The released documents show that the Xperia X7 might arrive on shelves with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display that would boast a WVGA resolution, while being powered by a Qualcomm MSM8260 1.2GHz application processor.
Moreover, it appears that the handset should sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper with 720p HD video recording capabilities, as well as HDMI output with Dolby Digital Plus surround.
As for the Xperia X7 Mini, it should land on shelves with a 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen display, while being powered by a Qualcomm QSD8250 application processor clocked in at 1GHz.
The specs list of this device would also include a 10.1-megapixel photo snapper with 720p HD video recording capabilities and Xenon flash.
Both the the Sony Ericsson Xperia X7 and Xperia X7 mini are expected to arrive on the market sometime in the first quarter of the next year, which means that more info on the matter should emerge at that time.
Even if the company was rumored before to plan bringing to the market devices running under the new Windows phone 7, we’ll take the appearance of Sony Ericsson Xperia X7 and Xperia X7 mini with a grain of salt at the moment.
