Shahid Afridi and Abdul Razzaq did not inspire Melbourne Renegades in their initial game of the Big Bash League as Adelaide Strikers came out successful in a one sided encounter by 67 runs.
As per details made available here, both the seasoned all-rounders didn’t reach double figures as Renegades were bowled out for only 122, chasing 190 to victory.
The pair also went wicketless, with Afridi conceding 27 runs in 4 overs and Abdul Razzaq gaving away 25 in 3. Openers Daniel Harris (49) and Michael Klinger (46) starred with the bat for the Strikers as they racked up 189 for 5.
Afridi and Abdul Razzaq also didn’t inspire with the bat as the Renegades’ run-chase fell apart because of Kane Richardson’s 3 wicket haul.
In a different match, Hobart Hurricanes beat Perth Scorchers by 31 runs, having put up 140 runs batting first.
